MAKING FILMS
SINCE 2010

One building in Hertfordshire. One team on your job, start to finish.

Thom started IRIS in 2010 on a simple idea. The best work comes when one team owns every part of it.

That idea still shapes the place. A brief lands with the same people who will shoot it, cut it and deliver it, and it stays with them until the file goes out. Nothing gets handed to a third party and hoped for.

The team

Who turns up on the day

The core team is deliberately small and senior. Around it sits a network of trusted freelancers, picked to suit the brief rather than pulled off a list, so the people on your job have done it many times before.

A crew is usually four or five. On the bigger jobs it runs to thirty, and it's still run by the people who took the brief.

Senior attention on every job, at whatever scale the job needs.

Under one roof

Everything in the same building

The shoot, the edit, the grade, the sound, the animation. Same building, same people. It's why a note at nine is in the cut by lunch, and why nothing falls into the gap between two companies.

The kit lives here too. A seven-axis motion-control robot on ten metres of track, repeatable to 0.04mm and running off its own batteries, so it works on location as easily as in the studio. Super slow-motion cameras. An infinity cove twenty minutes up the A10.

It's all ours, so it's there when the job needs it.
